Experts and government representatives from 15 countries—Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Bhutan, Cambodia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Grenada, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Namibia, Paraguay, Saint Lucia, Timor Leste, and Zambia—convened in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, to share lessons and experiences on the transition from planning to implementation in the national adaptation plan (NAP) process.
Co-hosted by the NAP Global Network and the Government of Zimbabwe, with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), this Peer Learning Forum brought together national climate change decision-makers to
- Assess if the prerequisites for implementing national adaptation priorities strategically are in place and identify gaps.
- Better understand how to develop projects and programs in a timely, coordinated and efficient manner to address national adaptation priorities.
- Understand how to strengthen the enabling environment for implementing national adaptation priorities.
Perspectives and guidance were offered by experts and partners from the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), the African Development Bank, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
