Somalia’s National Climate Change Action Plan 2025–2030
Somalia’s first National Climate Change Action Plan is a 5-year framework that sets out prioritized, fundable, and measurable climate change actions to operationalize the country’s National Adaptation Plan 2026–2030, and Updated Nationally Determined Contribution 3.0, 2023–2028. The NCCAP prioritizes climate change adaptation; and sets out objectives, key actions, and budgets for the implementation of adaptation and mitigation actions to 2030 in eight priority areas of action: agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and food security; water resource management; forestry and biodiversity; health, sanitation and human settlements; municipalities and urban development; disaster risk management, energy and transport; and climate information.
