The Kintampo Municipal Assembly Climate Adaptation Plan: Ghana
As part of Ghana’s NAP process, the Kintampo Municipal Assembly Climate Adaptation Plan (KMAP) has been developed as a strategic and forward-looking framework to address the increasing risks and impacts of climate change within the municipality. As a transitional agroecological zone with savannah and forest ecosystems, the Kintampo Municipality is particularly vulnerable to climate-induced hazards, including droughts, floods, bushfires, windstorms, and erratic rainfall patterns. These risks pose significant challenges to agriculture, water resources, health, tourism, forestry, and infrastructure across the municipality.
