Ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA)—a type of nature-based solution (NbS)—can generate social and economic returns and provide multiple benefits including improved health, biodiversity protection, food security, and alternative livelihood opportunities, all of which can build resilience to climate change. National Adaptation Plan (NAP) processes present a strategic opportunity to raise the profile of NbS and EbA.
This session will focus on showcasing the extent to which NbS and EbA have been taken up in countries’ NAP processes, based on the recent report published by the NAP Global Network Secretariat on tracking progress on NbS in NAP processes. In this session, we will draw on the experiences of developing country governments and other technical support partners in integrating ecosystem considerations and NbS and/or EbA measures in NAP processes. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session during the event.
This webinar will be held in English with simultaneous translation into French and Spanish.
