Conflict-affected countries dealing with national defense issues, the deaths and suffering of their people, and a fragile peace environment might find it challenging to prioritize climate change action. However, ignoring their adaptation needs while striving to promote peace would be a mistake, as there are close links between climate change and fragility.
This webinar will focus on how governments experiencing conflict can design and implement their NAP process in a way that responds to peace and conflict dynamics in their countries. In the webinar, we will draw on the experiences of developing country governments in initiating and implementing a conflict-sensitive NAP process as well as share guidance the NAP Global Network Secretariat has developed on aligning NAPs with peacebuilding agendas. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session during the event.
This webinar will be held in English with simultaneous translation into French and Spanish.
