Peruvian National Communicators Workshop Report
This report summarizes the first Peruvian National Communicators Workshop held in Lima, Peru, on September 6—7, 2018. This event was part of the participatory process led by the Ministry of Environment (MINAM) to develop the regulation for the country’s Framework Law of Climate Change. The workshop was a milestone in communications for climate change adaptation in the country, bringing together journalists and communicators from all regions of Peru in order to strengthen capacities for the effective dissemination of information and awareness of the impacts of climate change.
The workshop was organized by MINAM with the support from the NAP Global Network’s U.S. In-Country NAP Support Program, an initiative implemented by International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
