Video | The framing of gender issues matters: Kiribati’s experience

This NAP Global Network video looks at how the Pacific island state of Kiribati is integrating gender equality considerations in the country’s response to climate change.

Gender equality has only been recently raised as a political issue and gender mainstreaming has mostly occurred in relation to domestic violence. But much more needs to be done to foster a better understanding of the linkages between gender equality and climate adaptation among government officials and women’s organizations.
