The National Commission on Climate Change (CNCC) serves as a multi-actor platform that contributes to state decision making on climate change. It brings together representatives from the public sector, private sector, and civil society—including ministries, subnational governments, and key groups such as Indigenous Peoples, farmers’ associations, and women’s organizations—to ensure the effective implementation of national climate policies. Its structure includes technical teams on: Adaptation, Mitigation, REDD+, Research and Capacity Building, Just Transition and Climate Justice, and Climate Finance. The Commission may also establish ad hoc technical teams.
