Monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems are a critical component of both the national adaptation plan (NAP) process and the NAP document. They are designed to assess whether adaptation strategies achieve their intended outcomes, understand how and for whom they are effective and inform necessary adjustments based on evidence. At the same time. MEL also supports accountability, institutional learning and international reporting under the Paris Agreement.
In this webinar, the NAP Global Network will unpack key findings from its first MEL for NAP processes synthesis report, which analyses how developing countries are integrating these systems into their NAPs.
This session will highlight key emerging trends, gaps and good practices. It will also feature a country panel sharing insights and experiences with the design and implementation of their MEL systems.
This webinar will be held in English with simultaneous translation into French and Spanish
