Peer exchanges convene small groups of countries (typically 2-5) to discuss specific themes in the NAP process. As stand-alone sessions, peer exchanges take flexible forms and cater to the priorities and needs of participating countries. They may also evolve into sustained 1:1 peer learning partnerships.
Peer exchanges have been facilitated and supported by the NAP Global Network since 2016. Previously, the South–South Peer Exchange Awards Program supported country members from developing countries to come together and learn directly from one another on key technical topics for effective national adaptation planning and implementation.
Since 2023, the NAP Global Network has prioritized sustained peer learning processes. The 1:1 peer learning program offers a new iteration of the stand-alone peer exchanges and support peer countries in the longer term.
