Many countries are engaged in preparing their first Adaptation Communications (ADCOMs) in 2021. These voluntary, flexible, country-driven reporting instruments established under the Paris Agreement with multiple purposes, including to raise the profile and visibility of adaptation. ADCOMs present an opportunity to distil, synthesize, and report progress on adaptation as well as articulate their future needs and priorities–including on capacity building.
As a part of the COP26 Catalyst For Climate Action Day, this session will explore how ADCOMs can advance capacity building for adaptation planning and action.
