The 2025 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 30) will be held in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025, where nearly 200 countries will discuss how to accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
As efforts to limit global warming remain insufficient, adaptation is set to be at the top of the Brazilian COP Presidency’s agenda, with important negotiations underway on the global goal on adaptation, the national adaptation plan (NAP) assessment, and climate finance.
The focus on adaptation will build on the global momentum behind NAP processes shared by the latest UN Climate Change’s 2025 progress report on NAPs – the key vehicle for countries to reduce vulnerability and build climate resilience in an inclusive and effective manner..
The NAP Global Network Secretariat team will be in Belém co-hosting sessions with partner countries and organizations from the adaptation community, where they will be exchanging insights and lessons on how to achieve effective and inclusive NAP processes, showcasing the outcomes of our support to over 90 countries since 2014, and connecting with our partners and funders.
More updates on upcoming events will be shared soon.
