Tracking Progress on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for National Adaptation Plan Processes

Monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems are critical components of both the national adaptation plan (NAP) process and the NAP document. They are designed to assess whether adaptation strategies achieve their intended outcomes, understand how and for whom they are effective and inform necessary adjustments based on evidence. At the same time. MEL also supports accountability, institutional learning, and international reporting under the Paris Agreement.

In this webinar, the NAP Global Network unpacked key findings from its first MEL for NAP processes synthesis report, which analyzes how developing countries are integrating these systems into their NAPs.

This session highlighted key emerging trends, gaps, and good practices. It also featured a country panel sharing insights and experiences with the design and implementation of their MEL systems.
