Kenya’s Adaptation Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
Kenya’s first Adaptation Communication (AdCom), submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), outlines how the country is responding to climate change and building resilience. It highlights key climate risks, national adaptation priorities, and progress across sectors such as food security, water, health, and disaster risk management. The document also identifies Kenya’s needs for finance, technology, and capacity building, and emphasizes inclusive, locally led approaches to support long-term climate resilience.
This Adcom has been prepared in accordance with the Paris Agreement and Kenya’s policy and legal framework for climate change.
