Tuvalu Integrated Vulnerability Assessment Report:
Amatuku Islet, Funafuti
This report communicates key results from the Integrated Vulnerability Assessment (IVA) as conducted on the islet of Amatuku, Funafuti Atoll, Tuvalu. It aims to inform the country’s NAP process with evidence-based information on the community’s needs and vulnerabilities.
The IVA systematically examines how environmental and developmental changes affect local communities and the subsequent impacts of these changes on their ability to meet their basic needs. It provides baseline data about communities’ vulnerability through a standardized approach that can be replicated across locations and time periods.
