Youth aged 14 to 25 learned about the effects of climate change, ways to mitigate the risk, and how they can raise awareness in their communities through the USAID-funded Jamaica Rural Economy and Ecosystems Adapting to Climate Change project in 2018. The project provided climate change training to 2,146 youth and more than 147,000 trees were planted in a forest reserve.

Experts and government representatives from 10 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean are meeting from July 26 to 28 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to share lessons and experiences on promoting gender equality through climate change adaptation.

Changer les comportements pour faire progresser l’égalité des genres dans l’action climatique : L’exemple du Tchad

Pour assurer un processus de plan national d’adaptation (PNA) qui répond aux questions de genre, il est essentiel de bien connaître les acteurs de ce processus. En 2021, le Réseau mondial de PNA a travaillé avec le Ministère de l’Environnement au Tchad pour mieux comprendre ces dynamiques et en tirer des leçons pour le développement de son processus de PNA.
