The NAP Global Network is supporting a participatory, consultative, Small Island Developing State-specific process building on existing policies and strategies.

The Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) are working on a NAP document that adopts a “bottom up” national consultative process that embodies “self-determination” that embraces all atolls making up RMI. It builds on the acting as an instrument to mobilize financial resources. It is an umbrella document, mainly based on prioritized climate change adaptation activities taken from existing sectoral and atoll specific plans that already have gone through larger consultation processes.
