OUR PROGRAM
The NAP Global Network has provided support for Tonga’s NAP process since 2020.
In 2024, the NAP Global Network and the Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications (MEIDECC) established an in-country NAP support program.
Our program has focused on operationalizing the Tonga Climate Change Fund through the finalization of the Fund’s Regulations and Operational manual, which were approved by Cabinet in October 2024. These documents are now being translated into Tongan.
