OUR PROGRAM
The NAP Global Network has worked with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to advance the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) process in the Dominican Republic since 2022.
The current support focuses on evaluating the 2015 National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC); conducting a stocktake of existing inputs, actions, and gaps in the NAP process; and designing a roadmap to update the NAP document in alignment with updated risk assessments, national instruments and international commitments.

- Methodological guide for integrating climate change adaptation into Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes: established guidelines for evaluating environmental impacts and managing risks related to climate change in EIA processes.
2022
- Gender and climate change adaptation training (CSH): Strengthened the capacities of gender focal points across the government aiming to disseminate knowledge and good practices on mainstreaming gender equity consideration into adaptation actions across different ministries.
