OUR PROGRAM
The NAP Global Network established an in-country program in 2023 with the Secretariat of Natural Resources and Environment (SERNA). The support focused on assisting in the process of updating the country’s adaptation communication (AdCom), and progress and evaluation reports of its national adaptation plan (NAP) document. The program ended prior to completion following the termination of US funding.
2024
- Country’s Updated AdCom: The country submitted its 2024 AdCom document to UNFCCC, which lays out both the progress achieved and the challenges faced in advancing climate change adaptation. It highlights adaptation to climate change as a national priority and identifies the needs for capacity building, institutional coordination, disaster risk reduction, access to financing, resilient infrastructure, monitoring, evaluation, and learning, among others.
